Analysis on the crimping quality of overhead transmission line conductors considering equivalent cross-sectional stiffness

Approximately 58% of wire failures are caused by slippage and fracture electrical connectors, the crimping quality analysis connectors is based on equivalent cross-sectional stiffness. First, a JL/GLA 400/35 steel cord aluminum strand NY-400/35 strain clamp selected to fabricate 26 groups specimens with different pipe penetration depths, opposite edge distances, inner diameters tube, die widths. Then, through tests tube conductor core anchor, five main failures, namely, slip at outlet clamp, some broken strands, in non-pressure area, separation anchors, observed. Finally, failure method for proposed Through grip force quality, four modes simplified curves load–displacement curve obtained, principle further elaborated. The results show that stress release anchor reason transmission line conductors it also key improve installation line.
